    The Embassy of Poland kindly informs that an alien entering the territory of the Republic of Poland must prove upon the request of the border authority that he/she has the sufficient financial means (including funds) necessary to cover the costs of his/her entry into, transit through, stay and departure from the territory of the Republic of Poland. Additionally, an alien entering Poland must possess 100 PLN per each day of his/her stay in Poland accommodation and sustenance.

    An alien traveling to Poland for the purpose of higher education, taking part in research or training needs to possess1600 PLN (or the equivalent in foreign currency) for the first two months of his/her stay as well as 300 PLN (or the equivalent in foreign currency) to cover the cost of medical treatment, for each day of his/her stay for the period of one month since the date of arrival.

     

    Documents, which are accepted as a confirmation of possessing the required financial means could be:

    • traveler's cheque or credit card,
    • statement from a bank based also in Poland which should be signed and sealed by the bank,
    • official invitation ("zaproszenie") issued by the appropriate local executive authorities (Office of Wojewoda) in Poland (for the territory of Poland only).
